About the Artist

The History :

Paul Nelson is a graduate of Geneseo State University with a degree in teaching.  He continued his education at the Pennsylvania Institute of Taxidermy, one of the premiere taxidermy training institutions in the country.  Paul completed 920 hours of taxidermy instruction, learning from five world champion taxidermists.  Orion Taxidermy has been in operation since 2002.

Experience and Achievements:

Paul has taxidermy experience mounting North American game, birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles as well as experience with Exotic species of game.  He continues to educate himself through studying live animals and attending taxidermy workshops and trade shows.  Competing in taxidermy shows allows him to push his skills to the highest level and learn from the best taxidermists in the world.  Paul has won several ribbons at taxidermy shows throughout the country.
